There's two kinds of people: one who wouldn't tell their families that they've fallen sick and would probably only tell them after they recovered, and the other who will call home and whine like nobody's business. Regrettably, I'm not the first type. Haha.
It's probably the first time I've fell this sick in the period of my overseas life. Temperature rose to 39.1 degrees celsius in the middle of the night, was a bit scared my brains would get fried. That's what you get when you keep telling others that you have not fallen sick for a long time ya? (I said exactly that the past week because a number of my corridor mates had took turns to fall sick)
My mum was so funny, she said,“如果你在家里,我还可以泡阳生水给你喝,你现在讲什么我也没有办法,把阳生水倒进电话里面你也拿不到。”
Really, after going overseas, you appreciate the health care services in Singapore much better. Here, we've got only one health centre on campus, it's not open 24 hours and it's 20 mins walk away; moreover you've got to make an appointment to see the doctor, which means actually getting to see the doctor 1-2 days later, which most likely either you've recovered or you've gotten worse. *touchwood* Ah well, this is what happens when medical services are free in the country.
