Life Begins at 0328 Blaisdell Hall

Yay! Finally moved into my permanent residence! Spent 2 hours unpacking and making my room 'look' nice. Now when I tilt my head upwards, I'll see my earring holder, my handphone holder, a row of snoopy figurines (with compliments from Ruihang) and a photo frame (currently showing the photo of 01s15, taken on Oct 10, 2003).

Went out with the Singapore freshers in the evening (an outing organised by Zhensi) to have dinner at this Italian restaurant in school - reminds me very much of Sketches @ Bugis, allowing us to customize our pasta and pizza, and to write our names on our orders. Was quite good, but didn't finish my food though.

Later, we went to a megamart 25 minutes bus away from school, called Meijiers (pronounced as my-ears) Bought my bedsheets and duvet, and got other necessities too. Hoqw I miss tesco! It was only 15 minutes walk away and opens for 24 hours!!! Of course, got to know even more Singaporeans today, think the number of guys seem to outnumber the number of girls, so unlike Warwick! Similarly, the religious bonding seems to be quite strong here. Yee Lin fell sick though, was carrying a plastic bag with her during the shopping, to bag her puke... Think 'cos of jet lag and car sickness from the long bus trip.

Thought my day would end after going back, but I happened to see Regine, my Resident Advisor (RA) and decided to help her with decorating the place. She's an African-American doing her 5th year in community health (i.e. she repeated a year), but it was quite nice talking to her. Think I'll be enjoying myself at PAR, even though I'm the only foreigner on the whole level!
