Went with Shen Ting and Jermyn to open bank account at Busey today, opened 3 accounts: 1 current, 1 savings and 1 fixed deposit so as to earn more interest. Wonder if I had done the right thing, or had I bit off more than I could chew...
Later, we went to iHop, a 24 hour restaurant for breakfast. Had "Breakfast Sampler" - 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon strips, 2 slices of ham, a pile of rosti and 3 pancakes. Oh my god! What did they think we were? Pigs?? No wonder US has the highest obesity rate in the world! (N.B: I didn't finish my food ok!) Think at this rate I'm going, everyone's going to comment about my size when I get home... *sob*
The afternoon was quite demoralizing - went to the College of Business to talk to Jennifer Frank, our exchange coordinator about my modules. So far, I only have 1 finance module and 1 marketing module and 1 philosophy module secured. And she said,"I think you should be contented with what you have and just enjoy!" My god, 3 modules a semester??? I might as well stay in Warwick! Beginning to wonder if I had made the right choice to come... At this rate I'm going, think I'll have to take up ACCA or some external chartered accountancy courses when I get back to Singapore... *sigh*
