*give up on typing in Chinese* Has been very happy meeting up with Liu Hao; reminiscing about UIUC times, updating each other about UIUC friends, talk about trying to get used to the UK lifestyles again, and basically giving each other support and knowing that we both understand what each other is going through. Haha, make it sound like I'm having a hard time in Warwick, but I'm really enjoying myself - learning alot about how to live with people, and enjoying life in general.

Photo of Liu Hao and I - at Kenilworth Town.
We went for tea again, and this time I spotted a very interesting bench on the path to the tea shop:
Says on the bench - "In the memory of our dear parents Kathy and Sidney Clark who loved to walk these fields - September 2004."
Has anyone watched Notting Hill? There was a similar bench in the movie. Thought it's really loving. Can't help but lament about how different the Oriental and Western cultures are in this aspect. Granted that the divorce rates are said to be really high in the West as well, but at least those who stay together to the end seem to have a higher chance of being happy than those in Chinese culture. In Chinese culture, it seems that marriages are often held together by children, and when living gets more affluent, men start having flings while their wives, haggard from childbirth and taking care of the family, stay at home. Reminds of once I saw a very old English couple at Heathrow airport; the old man had to walk with a walking stick. But he would tease his wife by tapping her with his walking stick on her backside and pretend it wasn't him. How often do we even see old chinese couples hold hands? When we see an old chinese man do that, chances are he's holding hands with his mistress. *sigh* So disillusioned by the idea of marriage.
Chocolitto latte at Costa Cafe - with a chocolate stirrer. Very good, but I think once is enough. Too much calories =S

Went for a retreat at Peak District over the weekend. Look out for pictures on my online photo album!
