Happy Birthday to Liu Hao~

Heez... Slept at 3:40am last night because I was studying in the lounge with Bernard; ended up missing my one and only lesson at 8:30am this morning. *oops* Despite the exam stress and all, had a lot of fun preparing and celebrating Liu Hao's birthday, which is today.

First, Liu Hao, Yee Lin, Mark, Bertrand and I went to our favourite Chinese restaurant for lunch. Mark and Bertrand are both freshmen as well, doing electrical engineering. Found my anime kaki in Bertrand, who knows all about Full Metal Panic and Fumoffu, Fruit Basket and Azumanga Daioh. P.s. He downloads a lot of anime in his computer too =P Will definitely find one day to "pop by" his residence to take a look what he has... (With my iPod and cable)

After lunch, Bernard (N.B: Don't get confused between Bertrand and Bernard, though one's called Bertrand Tay Li Hui, and the other's called Bernard Tay Li Jiang, haha~) and I went to bake Liu Hao's cake, which is basically Betty Crocker's brownie mix again. (To my friends back in Singapore, do you remember the times when I baked brownies? It's the same mix) But I learnt the hard way never to trust a guy with the responsibilty of cooking something that requires more than just boiling - Entrusted Bernard to cook dumpling soup while the rest of us went for dinner with Liu Hao as decoy. When we returned, it looked like Bernard had cooked pig's brain porridge or something instead =(

Luckily the brownie-cake with pecans was really quite nice, and Daniel Quek (ooh, a long time since he appeared in my blog right?) complimented us and said it really tasted quite good. Later we played pool in the lounge. Thanks to training from the 01S15 guys back in PJ, I won Bernard (by luck though, and he let me) by a thin margin, and the guys were really quite surprised that I could play pool. UIUC really kind of reminds me of studying in PJC, especially towards the last few months - the late night studying, the playing of squash and pool, and the fact that there's more guys than girls around.

Very thankful for this opportunity to re-live a greatly missed and very much enjoyed period of my life, even though it's not exactly the same. Looking at the photo album given by Jingyi, Ying Zheng, Chong Choon and Ruihang, thinking about the overnight studying experience at Changi airport which turned out to be a total flop; the times spent at Soon Lee's house's void deck while looking forward to playing squash; and also the mahjong-in-disguise sessions; and the class gatherings to bukit timah to play pool; not forgetting the GP and maths lessons spent sitting beside Lewis and talking cock... Ahhhh...... How I wished we had taken more photos then!

Went to take my driving theory test yesterday, but realised the centre was closed on Mondays upon reaching there. Passing my driving test at BBDC was the most relieved sensation I've ever felt among all the exams that I've taken, and I thought I'd be done with it once and for all... Apparently I'm wrong =S But going through this over again, can't help but remember the times when I took my lessons after prom night and graduation. It was common to see familiar faces at BBDC; and really quite funny how demoralised I felt everytime I compared my driving book with Ruihang, to realise how much more stamps he had with how much less number of lessons he took. Remembered there was once when he accompanied me to apply for my UK education at the British Council after driving, how amazing things have turned out now! Wonder how'd I react if I knew all these would have happened then... Hiak hiak...

Lalalala... In a reminiscing mood again; but this time, there isn't much of a tinge of sadness while recalling them, but really really appreciate the fact that I've such memories with me~ Alright alright, that's it for now... *muacks*
