Comparison

Suddenly the reliance on blogging seems to have increased significantly.
Maybe I like to see myself typing.
It's a good way to be aware of how you are feeling too.

Human nature can be so irrational. There's always this person you always compare yourself to, and she can change time to time.
This person can be someone at work, a very close friend, a relative, or even be someone you've never met before.
But you compare - the attention you are getting, looks, photos, clothes, intellect etc.
You are secretly happy when you feel that you've 'won' but when you know you've 'lost', you console yourself.
"Everyone's got their own merits, and we're just different."
After a few series of internal struggle, you give up. Someone else comes along and the cycle goes on again.
Probably it's due to insecurity, but obviously such methods aren't constructive at all.

So the question is, how do you prevent such (negative) emotions from manifesting?
I say, try to love the person more.
Try to love yourself even more.
Does it make sense?
