My Prayer

Dear Father In Heaven,

I pray that my eyes will be steadfast on You, that I do not fill my heart with angst, covet and the worldly lusts.

I pray that my heart will appreciate what You have already given, and not be blind against the gifts You have bestowed upon me.

I pray that my heart will thirst to serve, and not to take.

I pray when I don't get what I want, I will remember You are showing me what I can live without and what really matters in life.

I pray the ache I feel at this moment, is for not loving You enough than it is for loving myself too much.

Please soften my heart and mind for You.
