Touched by an angel

Despite working hours getting longer and the pace of life getting faster, I feel acutely that I've been looked after very well. Our team of 8 people had been thinned by 25% after the resignation of 2 members and the peak of the season is coming next week. However the upcoming challenge throws us out of our comfort zone and there are added responsibilities which further steepen our learning curves. In the next 2 weeks, on top of current responsibilities, I'll be taking on a new role where I have to report directly to my manager's manager, who is a British, and he reports directly to the CEO of the Asia Pac region. *takes deep breath*

Very thankful for that communication has been so strongly emphasized and the team being so supportive of one another, regardless of hierachy differential. For this upcoming season, the conquest is not going to be individual, but as a team, and that excites me - like even though I've got my responsibilities, everyone's understanding and willing to help in times of need because at the end of the day, the outside world don't view you as an individual, but as a team. Think the past 2 months made me know myself better - what I value as a person, and what are the things I am willing to compromise and not. =)
